Social Media Specialist Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and creative individual to lead Social Media Marketing initiatives and efforts for our clients. This position will develop, execute and report on organic social media strategies for our clients and work with cross functional teams of designers, developers, campaign managers (paid advertising), and SEO team members.

Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and monitor comprehensive social media strategies for our clients.
  • Coordinate work between multiple internal departments - designers, developers, campaign managers (paid advertising), and SEO team members.
  • A strong emphasis will be placed on creative strategy development and the successful execution of that strategy through social media platforms.
  • Community engagement for different brands, verticals and products/services.
  • Implement a variety of tactics and techniques based on different situations and circumstances, to include creative copywriting (short form copy for social media channels), user generated content, industry research, reputation enhancement, crisis management in social media and more.
  • Identify and act upon key trends in a client’s audience and vertical across social media platforms.
  • Measure and analyze performance and results for clients resulting in actionable changes to the existing social media strategy.

Social Media Specialist Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven, professional track record in development of social media marketing strategies and programs.
  • Creative expertise with developing and presenting social media strategies across all primary social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills – for communicating complex ideas effectively and professionally.
  • Strong command of English language, while understanding advertising and marketing language.
  • Detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible, handling changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally to clients - via phone or email as well as in-person meetings.
  • Problem solver who is able to come up with solutions to complex situations.
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Effective team player, able to work with others on a project.
  • Quick learner - self-motivated and able to multi task on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working in high-traffic website environments or in an agency is a plus.
  • MS OFFICE skills required.
  • Ability to work in a traditional office setting.
  • Ability to work both independently and under general supervision.
  • Experience in graphic design and/or SEO is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
