Perillo Tours is the # 1 tour operator to Italy. Since 1945, we have provided exceptional travel experiences and value to our customers. My grandfather started Joseph Perillo and Sons just after the second World War. He had about $300, a used Remington typewriter (which I still have), and a month's rent on a small storefront in the Bronx, in a section they still call Little Italy today. I am proud of the legacy of our humble beginnings and of the innovations pioneered later by my father Mario. Through hard work, innovation and uncommon integrity, Dad changed the way so many people travel as he turned a small family business into an international success. Along the way he became known as “Mr.Italy”.

Today Perillo Tours continues to provide excellent travel vacations to Italy, Hawaii and beyond. As the third generation leader of Perillo Tours, I have helped steer the company into the 21st century, including such areas as the Internet. We were using our traditional media agency to handle our online marketing, but we weren’t creating much of an online presence for ourselves. Then after registering to download a complimentary whitepaper from MoreVisibility, we engaged with them to manage our Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization efforts in January 2007.

A year after MoreVisibility took over our Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization initiatives we have seen a dramatic improvement in results and ROI, with less investment than we were spending before. We have not yet realized our full potential with Search Engine Optimization, as there are a few things we still need to do, but the Search Engine Optimization insights we have received thus far have been very valuable.

I think “analysis” and “interpretation” of the data are as important as the actual Search Engine Marketing keywords selected, and the mechanics of bidding, placing and buying PPC ads. MoreVisibility does a great job of helping us understand the “meaning” in the mountains of data we receive from Google Analytics, etc. That’s a value-add that is very important to us as we move forward with our Search Engine Marketing & Search Engine Optimization programs in 2008.
