A search engine philosophy to
live by
A search under “philosophy” on the Internet could lead in
thousands of different directions. But a search for Philosophy skin
care products now leads directly to the web site of cosmetics
retailer Philosophy, since it implemented search optimization
services from web search strategies company MoreVisibility.com, the
company reports.
Philosophy saw a 40% increase in the number of unique visitors to
its web site and a 44% increase in site traffic overall within four
months of initiating search marketing improvements identified and
developed by search engine strategies company MoreVisibility.com,
the company tells Internetretailer.com.
Working with MoreVisibility, Philosophy.com was able to refine
its keyword submissions to top search engines to receive higher
placement in listed search results. As a result, Philosophy.com now
has a stronger presence on search engines overall and appears on the
first page of relevant search results in about 70% of cases,
estimates Karolyn Stayer, marketing project manager for
Philosophy.com.
“We’re happy with the results we are receiving through our
partnership with MoreVisibility.com,” says Stayer of the Phoenix,
AZ-based cosmetics firm founded in 1996. “We look forward to
continued success with our online retail sales efforts.”
