Q. I recently created a Google+ Page for my business. How will my AdWords ads be affected by my Google+ Page?

A. Google has started to roll out the feature to link your Google+ Page to your AdWords campaigns, so that all your +1s – from your Page, your website, ads and search results – get tallied together and appear as a single total. This functionality is now available with a new AdWords feature called Social Extensions.

Google believes that Social Extensions has the potential to improve overall ad performance because recommendations from friends and family impact purchasing decisions. That being said, one can assume that the more +1's your Google ad has, the more likely it is for a searcher on Google to click on your ad versus a competitor ad, thus increasing your click-through-rate.
