Don’t Allow Your Company to Appear Foolish with Email Marketing
- Andrew Wetzler, President
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been experiencing a noticeable uptick in the amount of spam emails I’m receiving. These aren’t just run of the mill financing, recruiting or offshore developer ones; rather they are emails from local businesses, but with absolutely no relevancy to MoreVisibility.
Here are two examples:
Do you have any lakes on your property that could use maintenance services? Our company provides a wide range of lake management and aquatic weed control services, including but not limited to:
Wetland Preserve & Maintenance
Algae & Aquatic Weed Control
Can we help with the lakes on your property? Please check out our website at Website.com.
Hope all is well. Do you have any commercial paving or asphalt jobs that you need a proposal for?
Please let me know if we can assist you with any projects.
Maybe someone messed up the sic code that’s associated with MoreVisibility or possibly there are some bad lists being sold, but stocking our (non-existent) lake is not high on our to-do list. The fact that a business is located in a certain geographic area doesn’t mean they’re a prospect for every business.
No matter the channel, it’s important to invest the time to target your prospects as precisely as possible. Don’t cheapen your brand with poorly conceived, ill-targeted marketing campaigns, email or other.
