MoreVisibility Attends SleepOut 2018

MoreVisibility is proud to support The Lord’s Place SleepOut 2018! The goal of SleepOut was to raise awareness to help break the cycle of homelessness in Palm Beach County. Attendees could chose to SleepOut and camp outside at the event, or SleepIn and camp at home. This event resonates with young families who are looking to teach their children about the power of giving and appreciation. This unique approach gives individuals a small sense of what it is like to be homeless, and have to sleep without the comforts of a bed.

Working together with MoreVisibility, The Lord’s Place was able to elevate exposure of the organization and the SleepOut event in the local community through a cohesive Paid Social Media, Display and Paid Search Strategy. Additionally, in working with MoreVisibility’s Design team, there were various unique assets created specifically for the event including a Facebook Frame, Snapchat Filter, and a map for the “Ending Homelessness March” that took place ahead of the event.

While fundraising prior to the event was successful, during the event attendees were stunned as The Honorable Ann and Don Brown pledged an additional $300,000. The crowd erupted into cheers at their generous contribution, and the room was buzzing with excitement as it was announced that the event’s donations amounted to over $625,000 this year.

The event’s program included personal success stories from individuals that had turned their lives around thanks to The Lord’s Place, an inspiring speech from the organization’s CEO, Diana Stanley, and a brilliant performance from the children at the Family Campus. Last year, the organization housed 437 individuals within their programs. On average 95% of these individuals were no longer homeless at the end of the year, and 59% of all adults who exited the housing programs left with jobs and increased earned income and savings. The organization is able to provide job training and employment to their clients through their two social enterprises, The Joshua Catering Company and The Lord’s Place Thrift Shop. The Lord’s Place truly provides comprehensive services to not only assist individuals in need of housing, but they also help these individuals rebuild their lives and become self-sustainable.
