I recently attended the invitation-only, annual Google Analytics Partner Summit in Mountain View, California. For this trip, I was joined by our Director of Web Intelligence, Joe Teixeira. This event is held by Google for the limited number of companies certified as Partners for the Analytics platform. MoreVisibility has been certified for 4 years and looks forward to this event each year to learn what's new with Google Analytics and how we can better serve our clients who utilize it.
This was the largest summit to date, with about 400 in attendance, there were Partners from all over the world represented, including Europe, Asia and Australia. This year's summit was held at the Computer History Museum, just down the street from Google's headquarters. What an amazing place to visit; highlighting the progression of the Personal Computer (PC) from initial concept through today.
Although much of what was discussed or shown to us is confidential, I can share how exciting the future of web analytics through Google will be! As a Google Analytics Certified Partner, our company is continuously exposed to new features and updates within the program. We also are sourced by Google to provide feedback in an effort to improve the platform and functionality. I can attest that Google has listened closely to user/agency feedback, which is illustrated in many of the updates / upgrades rolled out over the past year and those yet to come.
A few things we (Partners) are allowed to share from the Summit are highlighted below:
- Eye-opening expansion of the product
- Additional features and services will be rolling out short & long-term (many we've experienced personally and they are very cool!)
- Announcement of Germany's recent approval of Google Analytics
- Mobile usage and stats continue to grow at mind-boggling speed
- Google's overall product line and strategy continues to be integrated
MoreVisibility will continue to be at the forefront of understanding and implementing all that Google Analytics has to offer for web marketers and analysts. We remain very excited and confident in the future of this program and its competitive position in the market.
