CertainTeed – Improved Organic Positions for Target Keywords

CertainTeed Corporation is North America’s leading brand for interior and exterior building products including roofing, vinyl and fiber cement siding, trim, fence, railing, deck, foundations, insulation, gypsum, ceilings, and pipe products. The company was looking to improve their organic positions in the search engines. They engaged in a program with MoreVisibility to assist in the work necessary to accomplish this. MoreVisibility was tasked to help CertainTeed with the following:

  •  Identify best keywords in which to target content
  •  Help improve the organic positions on these keywords and overall for the entire site


  •  MoreVisibility provided CertainTeed with keyword research and recommendations in order to identify the best pages to target for optimal SEO results.
  •  MoreVisibility then optimized the metatags and content provided by CertainTeed for the targeted keywords


Based on MoreVisibility’s keyword recommendations, CertainTeed was able to provide 40 pages of content for their site. MoreVisibility, in turn, optimized the content and delivered to CertainTeed for launch. The new pages and content were launched in April 2009. By September CertainTeed was ranking for 23 new identified keywords in Google, Yahoo and Bing. More than 30 keywords increased positions in the engines, and September brought in over 20,000 more visitors from organic search than April.
