OpenAI just launched ChatGPT Health, a new, dedicated health experience within ChatGPT that lets users bring in personal medical records (allegedly securely) and 3rd party wellness app data (through integrations with apps such as Apple Health and MyFitnessPal). Importantly, their announcement weaves a narrative story about the solution being intended to be used as a supportive partner, not a replacement for a provider.
This new experience is designed for ChatGPT to provide answers that are personalized and tailored to an individual’s health context. Conversations and data in ChatGPT Health are isolated with stronger privacy protections and controls and are not used to train OpenAI’s models.
For now, they have not released this widely and the product is currently only open for waitlist (signup if you’d like!) with broader availability coming soon.
